Ballpark
pricing FAQ's
Many people who need structures moved or raised contact me and want a ballpark price. It is very difficult to give an accurate ballpark price. Although structures may look similar, their construction, foundation type, environment and overall general condition will greatly influence the ease or difficulty of the job and consequently the price. Below we have answered a few of the questions which are most frequently asked.
Q. Can you give me a ballpark price?
A. Yes in most cases we will try to give a `ballpark' range.
Q. What do you need to know to give a ballpark?
A. We need the following items to aid us in giving a ballpark:
1. A line drawing indicating the dimensions of the exterior of the structure, any brick, cement floors, fireplaces, garages, carports or porches is a must.
2. Type of construction, soil type, foundation type and a general description of the land immediately surrounding the structure.
3. The distance of the move, details of the route to be traveled and condition of the receiving site.
4. Digital pictures of the structure, route and receiving site.
Q. Since you gave me a ballpark will you do the job for that amount?
A. We only give ballpark figures for preliminary project assessment. This figure will not be binding or indicative of our willingness or availability to do a job.
Q. How can I get a more accurate price?
A. Within 50 miles of Muskegon we generally give free estimates. Projects outside this range will require a fee.
Q. I need a proposal for the bank, can you provide one?
A. We will provide written proposals but we must charge a fee for this service.
