I would like to introduce myself,
My name is Daniel Deitz. I am part owner of a fourth generation house moving company located in Western Michigan- Deitz House Moving Engineers, Inc.. If you are unfamiliar with the structural moving industry, I would like to add that this company does not move furniture, mobile homes, trailers, or most types of prefabricated structures. Instead, we move built in place structures of all types. This includes, but is not limited to, brick, cement or stone structures, steel or wood structures, Trains, Planes, Tanks, Boats, Bridges and various other thought of unmovable structures. Deitz House Moving Engineers, Inc. is pleased to offer over 60 years of experience, and a wide range of expertise. Services include house and building moving, building raising, under-house excavating, foundation and/or basement replacement, building leveling, shoring, underpinning, basement repair and hydraulic jacking.
The most common reason for an owner to consider moving a structure will vary. Many owners choose to move a structure when a piece of land becomes more valuable without of home verses with the home. Therefore, the structure becomes a liability to a developer for demolishing costs. Once this is established, the structure can be moved elsewhere for a fraction of the cost of demolishment. Some of the most exciting jobs I have encountered have included moving homes for historical preservation. Deitz House Moving Engineers alone moves up to 40 structures per year which otherwise would have been demolished and placed in a landfill as garbage. For this reason, the structural moving business has been named the worlds oldest recycling industry. Deitz House Moving Engineers is proud to be part of the International Association of Structural Movers or the IASM. I, in partner with Deitz House Moving Engineers Incorporated, is excited to raise awareness of this industry and offer quality structural moving services.
Sincerely, Daniel Deitz
